Some corps have announced plans to offer educational programs exclusively in an online format, while others are gearing up to eventually offer in-person rehearsal and performance opportunities this summer; ending with a three-day series of events in Indianapolis should conditions allow. The following is a list of corps who have indicated they are in the process of auditioning students for summer activities.

While not required to audition, participation in the Blue Devils Virtual Audition Academy gives participants access to 10 weeks of interactive online courses and direct input from instructional staff members. Your son or daughter is no different. It may simply be to become a better performer or meet new people. Students often view membership in a drum corps as a key rung in their climb to be professional performers or arts educators.
For many students, it is a way to challenge themselves to become the best they can be. Members of the corps will generally be between 14 and 21 years old, but we recommend anyone interested at any age come to our BEX Battalion Experience Events to meet and learn from our world-class staff. Drum Corps International's age limit is 21 years of age with one exception - corps members who turn 22 on or after June 1 are eligible to march during that year.
Click here for more info on our audition events. Auditioning for The Battalion is a process. Each BEX audition event is an opportunity for you to show our staff how well you take feedback and instruction and apply it over time.
Our staff will evaluate potential members individually and in group rehearsal settings. We highly recommend you register online and pay your fees well in advance of your arrival at our audition event. This will give you the maximum amount of time to go through the audition packet and prepare. However, we are prepared to accept your fees and paperwork when you arrive.

Work your off and show them how bad you want to be there. Don't give them a reason to cut you. There's no "wrong place" a rookie can go really. Go wherever you want to. It may be hard work, but starting off with them will give you a lot of years with your dream corps.

Students need to expect to start the audition process especially for a top-tier World Class corps in September. Most corps will hold their first camps around Thanksgiving weekend in November. If a student is "cut," the corps attempts to provide the student with an evaluation and recommendations for improvement.
In some cases, it may recommend the student participate in another corps. There are some World Class corps, in particular, the Blue Devils, Santa Clara Vanguard and Colts that offer an Open Class corps as part of their organization for students looking for a different experience.
