I'm glad you finally got it! Buy one Freedom spell for any party members who get imprisoned. Have 2 berserkers, but don't have them go berserk until Kangaax goes demilich.

Helpful if one of the bererkers is your character, who is also a mage, and can fire a constant rain of Melf's minute meteors at the fiend. You need to maintain constant attack on this creature, since he rejuventes at an amazing rate. Best weapon to have for quickly killing the monster is Crom Feyer.

You will have to fight two Liches along the way, before you can raise Kangaxx and fight his Lich form and then his Demi-Lich form.

He wears the mighty Ring of Gaxx which grants him rapid regeneration, bonuses to his armor class and saving throws , and adding to his innate magic resistance. It is very important for the party that at least one character is not protected from undead because, once Kangaxx is down to 1 HP , he stops fighting and speaks to the party before revealing his true form.

Once Kangaxx turns into his demilich form — which is essentially just a floating skull —, the party is in for a difficult fight. On top of that, his saving throws are all 2 steps better than in his lich form, except save vs. Since Kangaxx is still wearing the Ring of Gaxx , he regenerates at a phenomenal rate.

His lich form is bad enough, given the regeneration from the ring, but his demi-lich form is even worse. It can cast the spell Imprisonment unlimited number of times and can also use an area effect similar to Wail of the Banshee or Finger of Death. There are a number of ways to prepare for the fight. My next character is gonna probably be an Assasin. I'm gonna love backstabbing him and then melting down his bones and selling them to Ribald!

Like I said, its the best item in the game. In fact I have finished the game so many times that when I start a new game I import a Gaxx ring for all my fighters 2 or 3 usually. And sure you dont need it, but it always helps doesnt it? Sounds like you are afraid of Liches mate.

Look, they are not that difficult regardless of using Daystar and its so-called "cheesy sunray spell" , they are not really a hassel and the experience makes them worth it. The trick is to hit hard and fast so he doesnt have a chance to cast his spells.

Invisability or hide in shadows can help if you wanna free hit and or a backstab before the Lich becomes hostile. If you can get in there and smash him up fast enough you might be able to disrupt some of his defensive spells. If that fails and defensive spells go up usually stone skin, protection from magical weapons and globe of invulnerablity and sometimes mislead you will need a mage to breach his defence to do physical damage.

A couple of "breach" spells is all you really need before you can start bashing him again. Also use your "true sight" spell to counter his mislead invisability. Druids, priests and mages have this spell and so do Inquisitors as a skill.

Hope this helps you Lord Sarevok and you other Lich hunters out there. And put on some armour you nut! Biowear should not have programed that way then or provided a patch to remove the "exploit".

Since you get the extra ring by pick-pocketing a legitamate innate charactor ability, who is saying that it is cheating?
